Chris Samuels MinstLM, LIAV –.Security Director
Chris spent 22 years in the RAF and has served on operational and training posts throughout the world. His extensive knowledge in the security field combined with his instructional expertise enables him to design and deliver high quality, relevant training. His final tour in the RAF was leading and managing the Security Sector Apprenticeship programme for new recruits.
He managed and co-ordinated the ‘full cycle’ learning and development activities within the sector including the implementation of NVQ’s, Key Skills and Technical Certificates, notably gaining a Grade 2 ALI inspection of provision whilst completing over 600 full Apprenticeships.
Chris has acted as an industry consultant on the development of a Security Apprenticeship National Framework and with awarding bodies on industry compliant qualifications. Chris is an Assessor and Internal Verifier for Security, Management and Work Based Learning qualifications. His military career has assured his competency as a dynamic Leader and Manager, cemented by operational and strategic experience. In addition Chris is a qualified management coach and mentor.
Geoff Herschell MinstLM, LIAV – Management Director
Geoff gained a vast amount of Learning and Development knowledge from 22 years service in the RAF as an Instructor and later the NVQ Scheme Co-ordinator for the RAF Regiment. Geoff was part of a team delivering security Apprenticeships, helping to integrate NVQ reports with Key Skills Communication units and mapping military course objectives with civilian qualifications.
He spent the next 2 years as the Head of Training for a large Training Provider, cahro Ltd. Here Geoff took control of more corporate and managerial areas whilst continuing to Assess and Verify awards for 9 Awarding Bodies.
Geoff has worked in 3 Accredited Centres and has acted as a consultant to help 3 other centres become established. Although Management Awards are Geoff’s speciality he is qualified to deliver many subjects such as the full Learning & Development package including A1 and V1.
In his spare time Geoff is a keen dart player and helps to develop the sport in his role of Chairman of Norfolk Youth Darts.
