Security training
Security courses can be bought as a package or as an individual course. The courses can be delivered on site or at other training rooms around the country. - Level 2 Certificate in Static and Patrol Guarding (NOCN)
- Level 2 Certificate in Door Supervision (NOCN)
- Level 2 Certificate in CCTV Public Space Surveillance (NOCN)
- Spectator Safety NVQ level 2 (City & Guilds)
In conjunction with Skills for Security we offer:
- Level 2 Security Practitioner Award (NOCN)

What you need
To work in the Security Industry you must obtain the correct license to work, it is illegal to work without the correct license and you may face a heavy fine or imprisonment. Some licenses enable you to undertake more than one activity, for example a Door Supervisor License will also enable you to work as a Security Guard. Get Training
We use 2 of the top awarding bodies in the country, The National Open College Network (NOCN and the British Institute of Innkeepers (BII) for our licensing courses. The course currently consists of 28hrs training and 2 x 1hr multiple choice exams. These courses are changing shortly, call our team on 01953 880209 for up to the minute information.

Getting Your License
Once you have successfully passed your training course its time to apply for your SIA License. When the SIA have received your correctly completed application form it usually takes around 6 weeks to process although this can vary because of high volumes of applications or more complex applications (for example, overseas criminality checks)

The cost of the license is £245 (second license is cheaper) and certain applicants will be able to claim Tax Relief on this. You will need to provide this payment along with certain supporting documentation. Click to view the SIA DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
